Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most studied cancer in literature but controversial results are published about its pathogenesis, outcome, angiogenesis and molecular behavior. In our presentation, we will present own results about molecular profile of colorectal cancer, in relationship with the angiogenesis. Our results will be analysed in the mirror of the most recent studies, in relationship with angiogenesis. One of the new aspects of colorectal cancer is based on the aberrant immunohistochemical profile of CRC with microsatellite instability (MSI) and BRAF mutation. Our researches proved that this particular group of CRC tend to lose the Cytokeratin 20 expression and to become positive at Cytokeratin 7.This aberrant immunoprofile could be a particular expression of the CRC which occur aftermalignant transformation of serrated adenomas. In this group, the angiogenesis, analysed with VEGF, CD31 and CD105, present a lot of particularities, compared with the other colorectal cancers which express Cytokeratin 20.The main goal of our presentation is to present these particularities which can have role in prognosis and can influence the targeting therapy of patients with CRC.Acknowledgement: This work was partially supported by the Romanian National University Research Council (CNCSIS), Ministry of Education and Research, projects frame: PN Ⅱ-PD, no.504/2010 and by the Sectoral Operational Programme Human Resources Development, financed from the European Social Fund and by the Romanian Government under the contract number POSDRU/89/1.5/S/60782.
