The study of outdoor environment quality has important significance on the steadily advancement of Chinas urbanization.The citys outdoor wind-heat environment which plays an important role of improving citizens livelihood has become a focus of research.For the outdoor public space similar to the pedestrian street,pedestrian-height wind and thermal comfort directly influence the value.This paper takes Jiefangbei commercial pedestrian street as an example.Based on the regional climate characteristics in Chongqing,and the investigation of crowds composition and behavior laws in Jiefangbei commercial pedestrian street,simulation has been carried out by ENVI-met software.Then this paper makes comprehensive evaluation on pedestrian-height wind environment and thermal comfort,and proposes optimization measures according to the existing problems so as to create an outdoor space environment suitable for improving peoples way of life in city.
