Compared with Japan,Europe and other countries,the lack of basic research is one of the biggest challenges in the study of path choices field in China.The author chooses college students as an example to study their tendencies of path choices and indicates the tendency of Chinese people.Research methods include observation,interview and photographic technique,etc.Through four days observation,reached 550 students in total,the conclusion was made that Chinese students are more likely to choose the right-side path.However,this result is different from the same research based on Japanese people,which is left-choice.At the same time,from the perspective view of architectural design,the path choice has a significance influences about the route design of visiting and evacuation.Based on the theoretical model of interrelation between human,environmental and culture,the author explored the reasons behind this phenomenon and analyzed cultural and historical factors.
