In this paper,we study the promoter area of development zone during transformation to new town,the micro-scale geography unit,from social psychological needs,and from viewpoint of everyday life space quality.The evaluation system has been set up to judge the everyday life space quality combined with the characters of the promoter area of development zone,according to the evaluation factors derived from domesticor foreign literatures.This evaluation system will be composed of goal hierarchy,criterion hierarchy and alternative hierarchy,which is based on physical space and with the psychosocial needs as the start point.The first level is the goal hierarchy,focusing on social and psychological needs of the five categories including livability,character,connection,mobility and diversity.The second hierarchy is the criterion hierarchy,the specific social and psychological needs,including 22 standards of everyday life space quality and needs.The third hierarchy is the alternative hierarchy,focusing on elements of the physical form which include urban neighborhoods,buildings,streets,sidewalks,open space,vegetation and design elements functionally related.
