Understanding the annealing behavior of ultrafine-grained materials produced by severe plastic deformation is of interest for applications requiring a balanced strength and ductility. In this study, commercial-purity aluminium and copper billets processed by eight passes of equal channel angular extrusion (ECAE) at room temperature were subjected to isothermal annealing treatment at 350 ℃ for up to 6 h.Electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD)measurements were conducted to investigate the microstructure and texture development during the annealing treatment.
