  Theoretical computer science (TCS) is the study of abstract computing and computability theory.Often, this study encompasses programming and mathematical aspects behind programming such as logic.In the field of computational biology, one can view biological systems, such as cancer stem cell (CSC) induced tumors, as abstract computable machines.Due to its flexibility, TCS can be applied to study evolution in cell lineages, changes in genetic structures, and finding molecular logical networks among many other things.These computational systems and different combinations on their rule space (variations on a particular "rule" that defines the computation of the abstract machine) may be applied to model and simulate biological systems.
