Spermatogonial Stem Cells (SSCs) cultured in vitro have the ability to give rise to gerrnline pluripotent stem (GPS) cells.In rodent research, SSCs can transdifferentiate in vivo into tissues of all germ layers either directly, when recombined with instructive inducers, or indirectly, after being dedifferentiated to ES-like cells.The ability of SSCs on transdifferentiation into wide range of other cell types and/or dedifferentiation into pluripotent stem cells emphasizes their clinical potential that can be used in human tissue repair and/or regeneration.However, in large animals and humans, the source of SSCs is rare.The methodologies for enrichment and proliferation remain developing.
