Low temperature during winter may cause aquaculture fish severe growth inhibition and mortality.In order to improve the cold tolerance of cultured fish,zebrafish was used as a model to study the regulation of energy metabolism under the cold stress.Creatine kinase(CK)is a key energy metabolic enzyme playing an important role in maintaining energy homeostasis.The common carp(Cyprinus carpio)muscle form Ⅲ of CK(M3-CK)can maintain enzymatic activity at a relatively low temperature of around 15oC.
