为了应对全球传统医学与补充医学领域的挑战,世界卫生组织制定并发布了世卫组织传统医学战略2014-2023.2014年的第67届世界卫生大会也通过了关于传统医学的第18号决议(世界卫生大会67.18).该决议的核心是关于传统医学战略的实施.传统医学战略中包括了两个总目标、三个战略目标和六个战略方向.两个总目标是:1)掌握利用传统和补充医学对健康、福祉、以人为本的卫生保健和全民健康覆盖的潜在贡献;2)对传统和补充医学产品、实践和技术服务提供者进行监管和研究,并酌情将其纳入卫生系统,从而促进安全有效地使用传统和补充医学.
