The Qinling orogenic belt in the central of China was formed by Paleozoic subductionaccretion and Mesozoic collision between the North China and the Yangtze plates.The Devonian sediments in this belt mainly crop out between the Shangdan and Mianlue sutures and host abundant Au,Ag,and Pb-Zn deposits.Therefore,more attention has been paid to these rocks since the late 1960s.However,their provenance and tectonic setting are still debated so that Devonian tectonics of the Qinling orogenic belt is also not well-defined.This seriously affects studies of the evolution between the North China and the Yangtze plates.
