In order to meet the growing demand for protect the environment and save resources, it is necessary to explore the biological base elastomer as the next generation of dielectric elastomers (DEs).In this study, we used the high dielectric constant (ε r) biological gelatin/glycerol (GG) elastomer as dielectric elastomers matrix, with cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) extracted from natural cellulose fibers to improve the mechanical strength of GG elastomer.
