α-Synuclein(α-Syn)is the most abundant protein found in Lewy bodies,a hallmark of Parkinsons disease(PD).Pathological alpha-synuclein propagates through neural networks to neighboring astrocytes,although the latter only express little α-Syn.The purpose of this study is to investigate whether and how extracelluar α-Syn induces astroglial damage.
