Within recent years, the Materials Process Modeling Division at IMR has focused on computational material design and processing simulations in the fields of metallic alloys.The corresponding research projects cover a wide range of methods from atomistic computational material design to mesoscale phase field simulations to macro-scale processing simulations, targeting on various high-performance structural materials and processing technologies of some major components of national engineering projects and the explorations of novel new materials.
