Objective The International Staging System (ISS) is an important prognostic indicator for outcome of patients with multiple myeloma (MM).ISS was proposed in 2005 using data from 10,750 MM patients who received conventional regimens and high-dose chemotherapy followed by stem-cell transplantation,and this group of patients were not exposed to novel agents.
