High-alumina fly ash (HAFA), generally containing more than 38% alumina, is the most potential substitute for bauxite at present. With the diminishing of bauxite resources as well as the increase in alumina demand, the profitable industrial utilization of coal fly ash in alumina recovery has attracted extensive attentions.According to the diverse boiler types and burning patterns, the fly ash can be divided into two kinds of circulating fluidized bed ash (CFBA) and pulverized coal boiler ash (PCBA).
