Aim: Endothelial dysfunction is pivotal in atherosclerosis.Endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) play a key role in the homeostasis of damaged vascular repair.Previous findings from our laboratory have shown the benefits of Panax notoginseng saponins (PNS) on atherosclerosis.The present research was designed to explore the effect of PNS on EPCs number, functionality and the underling mechanisms.
