The promising application of water-solubilized quantum dots (QDs) in biomedicine, such as cellular labeling and biological imaging has strengthened a prerequisite for studying their cytotoxicity in recent years.Although nanomaterial-induced toxic phenomena have been observed, little is known about its molecular mechanism due to the limitation of the present methods.
