Background and purpose: Lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) is an important phospholipid mediator in inflammation and immunity. However, the mechanism by which LPA signalingis regulated during inflammatory response is largely unknown.Autotaxin (ATX) is the key enzyme to produce plasma LPA.The Toll-like receptor (TLR) system is responsible for the response to infection. Here, ATX induction was detected upon TLR activation, and the mechanism of ATX expression regulation during infection was further studied.
