In this talk,I will review the early contributions to and efforts made by Chinese scientists in the field of molecular cryo-electron microscopy.It was their vision,effort and persistence,chiefly led by Senfang Sui(隋森芳),Jiin-Ju Chang(张锦珠),Yun Li(李云),Wei Xu(徐伟),Naiqian Cheng(程乃谦),Jinqiang Zhang(张景强) and others,mostly under very primitive conditions,that laid the foundation for the successful enterprises the field is now cultivating.
