Running a cryoEM facility never was a simple task.Recent advances in CryoEM field makes it a more demanding than ever,to deliver CryoEM data for both quality and quantity.It remains to be a very complex and challenging job from user management to best working condition maintenance of modern CryoEM facility instruments.There are always issues such as how to balance user training and scope data collection time,how to make sure the instruments are running in most efficient fashion and how to monitor the instrument or data quality etc..These issues are discussed here,from the point of view of a CryoEM facility manager.
