Relion(REgularised LIkelihood OptimisatioN) is a stand-alone computer program,which is developed by Sjors Scheress group at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology.Relion employs an empirical Bayesian approach to improve the refinement of(multiple) 3D reconstructions or 2D class averages in electron cryo-microscopy(cryo-EM).Threedimensional(3D) reconstructions of many important biological samples have been explored by Relion.Relion has made revolutionary impacts on the field of cryo-EM.
