In Europe approximately 32,000 ha or 80,000 acres of spinach (Spinacia oleracea) is grown annually.Around 16,000 ha (40,000 acres) of baby leaf to teen size spinach for fresh consumption and a similar acreage of full leaf size spinach for processing.The presentation will highlight items like main production areas, cultivation styles and practices and consumption trends of both fresh and processed spinach.
