Objective: To analyze the relative prognostic factors of patients with solitary plasmacytoma of bone (SPB).To the best of our knowledge, few studies have concentrated on this SPB pathway.Methods: Fifty-one patients with SPB were recruited from the Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital between July 2000 and October 2012.Twenty-one of these patients were excluded from the study as a result of tissue loss or technical difficulties.The remaining 30 individuals who were diagnosed with SPB were included.Clinical characteristics that affect survival and the association between staining index and other categorical factors that were potentially predictive of prognosis were analyzed according to Fishers exact test and the chi square test.A survival analysis was performed according to the method described by Kaplan, Meier, and Cox.
