Dendrite is one of the most common crystalline patterns of metallic solidification microstructure.It is well known the anisotropy of interfacial energy plays a big role in growing direction choosing of dendrite arms during solidification.For metals with face centered cubic (fcc) structure, the preferred growing direction of dendrites is ＜100＞.In spatial pattern, the preferred directions comprise three equivalent directions which are perpendicular to each other.
