The objective of this study was to compare the testing performance of YG606E hot plate tester and SGHP-10.5 hot plate tester on measuring fabric thermal insulation property.Twelve thin fabrics used for summer clothing and twelve thick fabrics used for winter clothing were chosen as the samples.The thermal insulation of the fabrics was tested under standard atmosphere by using YG606E hot plate tester and SGHP-10.5 hot plate tester respectively according to China standard GB/11048-2008.Three specimens were tested for each fabric and the average of the three results was used for that fabric.
