In order to study the effects of SiCp size and volume fraction on thermal conductivity of SiCp reinforced aluminum matrix composites, SiCp/2024Al composites was fabricated by powder metallurgy technique, The thermal conductivity of silicon-carbide-particulate-reinforced aluminum matrix composite was determined as a function of the volume fraction (30,35 and 40%)and particle size (3,8,15,25 and 40 μ m) of SiC.
