Bacterial leaf streak (BLS), an emerging and destructive disease in rice worldwide, is caused byaGram-negative pathogenic bacterium Xanthomonas oryzae pv.oryzicola (Xoc).Previously we reported that fructose-bisphophatealdolase (FbaB) is a bacterial virulence factor involving in fructose acquisition and its expression is negatively regulated by HrpG/HrpX cascade via an imperfect PIP-box of 4baB promoter, implying that there is an unknown regulator in controlling fbaB expression [1].
