Potato is the fourth largest food crop in the world after wheat, rice and maize. However, it can suffer more than 40 pests and diseases [1], of which bacterial wilt or brown rot, caused by Ralstonia solanacearum, is the most devastating bacterial pathogen of potato.Although considerable research has been conductedon bacterial wilt in China, there are still many questions lacking of a comprehensive answer.
