Direct methanol fuel cells (DMFCs) are promising electrochemical power generators with high efficiency and low emission of pollutants. Unfortunately, due to absence of the suitable catalyst materials for fuel-cell technologies, the anodes still suffer big problems during electrochemical oxidation of methanol fuels, for instance, slow electron transfer and limited mass transport.
