  The effective analytical method of pyridaben and clothianidin in cucumber was developed,and dissipation of those two pesticides under field condition was investigated.The samples were extracted with acetonitrile by ultrasound-assisted method,purified by Florisil SPE column with eluants of different polarity.Pyridaben and clothianidin were determined by gas chromatography with electron capture detector and ultra high performance liquid chromatography with ultraviolet detector,respectively.The average recoveries fortified at levels of 0.01~2.0 mg kg-1 ranged from 87~105%,with relative standard deviations(RSD)of 1.0~3.1%.The limits of quantification(LOQs)were 0.01 mg kg-1.The linearity was acceptable in the range of 0.005~1.0 mg L-1 and 0.02~5.0 mg L-1 for pyridaben and clothianidin.The results showed that pyridaben exhibited half-lives(T1/2)of 1.7-2.2 d in cucumber,and 2.9-4.3 d for clothianidin,from Beijing and Anhui,respectively.
