Nanostructured materials have been an im-portant subject since the late 1980s.There are many methods developed for synthesis of nanomaterials such as ball-milling,precipitation,hydrothermal method,chemical vapor deposition and so on.Different from these conventional methods,we study synthesis of nanostructured materials by DC arc plasma and RF plasma and expect nanostructure can enhence their properties for hydrogen storage and lithium battery.For example,lithium imide is receiving increasing attention due to its high hydrogen storage capacity and low operative temperature.
