Three Ni-based catalysts prepared by different methods were investigated with CO2 reforming of CH4.A special attention was paid to the catalytic stability. The experimental results showed that with the help of synergy of plasma reduction and MgO promoter, the catalyst that was reduced by plasma jet and modified by MgO promoter exhibited excellent catalytic activity and stability during the reaction process of 400 hours.XRD,TEM,XPS,TG and Raman were used to characterize these catalysts. It was found that the plasma reduction made the catalysts possess smaller size and better dispersion of Ni crystal, and MgO addition not only improved the basicity of the catalysts, but also prevented the agglomeration of Ni crystal in reaction process by increasing the local surface potential energy of catalysts.
