Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a major green house gas that is released into the environment due to the use of fossil fuels and it can cause global climate warming,which may be disastrous to the environment.One of the improved techniques for CO2 capture is the chemical absorption using cdty sorbents.The use of dry sorbent can be highly cost-effective and an energy efficient way to remove CO2 [1-4].Alkali metal carbonates such as Li2CO3,Na2CO3 and K2CO3 react with CO2 and H2o,and transform to alkali metal hydrogen carbonates after CO2 absorption by the following reaction,M2CO3 + CO2 + H2o (→) 2MHCO3 (M=Li,Na,K) [2-4].These alkafi metal based dry sorbents were utilized in CO2 absorption at low temperatures (50-70℃) and then thermal regeneration was easily occurred at low temperatures below 200℃.
