Cetirizine dihydrochloride (CTZ) is a selective histamine (H 1)-receptor antagonist that relieves symptoms of indoor and outdoor allergies,including itchy or watery eyes and an irritated,itchy throat.Chewable,non-chewable,and syrup forms of CTZ are similarly absorbed rapidly and effectively,with absorbed food minutely affecting the absorption rate which yields a peak serum level one hour after administration [1].CTZ has an exUremely unpleasant bitter taste,so there are many patients who have difficulty in swallowing.
