Uromycladium tepperianum (Pileolafiaceae, Uredinales) is a native Australian rust fungus that produces galls on Acacia (Fabaceae).Uromycladium tepperianum has a variable morphology across a wide host range of more than 100 Australian Acacia species. It is widespread across different ecological niches in semi arid to humid areas.Morphology, DNA sequence analysis and host-specificity were studied to determine the diversity of U.tepperianum in Australia.Phylogenetic analyses were conducted on combined datasets of the SSU, ITS and LSU regions of rDNA.
