The symptoms of opioid-induced (such as morphine) pruritus (OIP) are common and the life quality of the patients are thus seriously affected.Although it is helpful to relieve itching with sudden withdrawal or the use of naloxone, the patients will experience severe pain or withdrawal syndrome1.When herpetic neuralgia or PHN occurs, co-morbidity of pain-itching (CPI) symptoms often occur simultaneously2-4.
