Introduction:In the past, patients after radical prostatectomy used to stay in hospital until their surgical wounds are healed or the indwelling catheters are removed.The normal length of stay could be more than one week or even nearly two weeks.In order to shorten the hospital stay, all patients after radical prostatectomy were referred to urology nurse-led clinic for removal of urethral catheter and wound care if they are physical fit for discharge.
