Photodynamic therapy(PDT)is an attractive minimal-invasive modality for cancer treatment [1].Upon excitation by light, the tumor-localized photosensitizer generates intracellular reactive oxygen species(ROS),particularly singlet oxygen,to cause cancer cells and tissues damage.Tumor-specific activation of photosensitizers is an effective strategy for developing tumor-targeting photosensitizers, which remains a major challenge for photodynamic therapy [2,3].Here we report a novel tumor-pH-responsive nanocomposite(LDH-ZnPcS8),which was prepared through electrostatic interaction between negatively charged octasulfonate-modified zinc(Ⅱ)phthalocyanine(ZnPcS8)and cationic hydroxide layers of layered double hydroxide(LDH)[4,5].
