Subthalamic nucleus deep brain stimulation(STN DBS)ameliorates motor symptoms of Parkinsons disease, but the precise mechanism is still unknown. It may act via eliciting neurotransmitter release. However, the precise relationships between DBS and neurotransmitter release are not established.Microsensors, which exhibit high temporal and spatial resolution, may serve as powerful analytical tools. Here We described a low cost silicon based 16-site implantable microelectrode array(MEA)chip fabricated by standard lithography technology for in vivo electrophysiological and electrochemical dual-mode test.
