Rockwell Automation, which leads the full range of automation trends, is pleased to announce that its ControlNet(TM) network is now an international standard. Previously, the International Electrotechnical Commission has announced that its member states have adopted the international fieldbus standard IEC61158 (international fieldbus standard) with an overwhelming majority of support. According to officials of the International Electrotechnical Commission, this voting result shows that the international automation industry has approved the Action Committee’s proposal and affirmed the world’s support for IEC 61158 technology.
