由云南省社会科学院主办的“澜沧江—湄公河流域经济发展与环境保护国际学术讨论会于1993年4月26月至28日在昆明举行。出席这次会议的有云南省社会科学院东南亚研究所、综合经济研究所、农村经济研究所、民族学研究所、历史研究所、民族文学研究所、社会学研究所、马列主义研究所、情报资料中心、云南民族学院、云南国际问题研究所、云南省环境科学研究所、云南省科委科学研究所、能源部水利部昆明勘测设计院、云南省计委国土整治办公室以及来自老挝、泰国和缅甸的中外专家、学者共70多人(其中中国学者60多人、泰国学者7人、老挝学者3人、缅甸学者1人)。一些新闻单位的记者也出席了会议。
The Symposium on Economic Development and Environmental Protection of the Lancang-Mekong River Basin, held by Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences, was held in Kunming from April 26 to April 28, 1993. Attending the meeting were the Southeast Asian Institute of Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences, Institute of Economic Research, Institute of Rural Economy, Institute of Ethnology, Institute of History, Institute of National Literature, Institute of Sociology, Institute of Marxism-Leninism, Intelligence Center, Yunnan Institute for Nationalities, Yunnan Institute of International Studies, Yunnan Environment Institute of Science and Technology, Science and Technology Commission of Yunnan Province Science and Technology Commission, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Water Resources Kunming Survey and Design Institute, Planning Commission of Yunnan Province land reclamation office and from Laos, Thailand and Myanmar, a total of more than 70 Chinese and foreign experts and scholars (including Chinese scholars more than 60 Seven were Thai scholars, three were Laos scholars, and one was a Myanmar scholar.) A number of journalists also attended the conference.
