Since last autumn, in accordance with the “Notice on Several Issues concerning Current Forestry Policies” issued by the People’s Government of the Autonomous Region, efforts to implement the responsibility system for collective forestry production across the country are being seriously carried out. According to statistics at the end of May, there are already 13,500,000 mu of collective forests (accounting for 82.3% of the total area of collective forests) and 45,236 production teams (accounting for 69.3% of the total number of production teams) in the region.
