1938年10月武汉失守以后,中国人民抗日战争进入战略相持阶段,日本侵略者采取以军事进攻为主转变为以政治诱降为主的策略;随之,蒋介石消极抗日,积极反共,因而抗日民族统一战线出现了新情况和新问题,被囿于皖南一隅的新四军处境险恶。在这种形势下,中共中央军委副主席、南方局书记周恩来,1939年2月,肩负中共中央的重托,离开重庆,经桂林等地前往安徽省云岭新四军军部,视察指导新四军工作。在新四军中,周恩来根据党中央和毛主席的英明决策,积极宣传贯彻党的六届六中全会精神和抗日民族统一战线政策,分析形势,总结经验,加强思想教育,处理矛盾,为新四军的团结和发展确立了科学的战略方针,制定了重大战略措施。周恩来这风风雨雨的云岭之行,对新四军的迅速发展,对抗战大业的胜利推进,产生了巨大的促进作用。在纪念周恩来100周年华诞之际,本刊特节选刊登反映这一重大事件的四集电视连续剧剧本《风雨云岭行》,以飨读者。
