曾经出现过这样一个笑话,说有日本人退休后为了吃西瓜留在中国,让很多中国人不理解。其实,去过日本的朋友都知道,日本的水果真的属于高消费品,甚至隔三岔五还会出现天价水果的新闻。日本为什么存在这种“奢侈水果文化”?究其原因,首先是因为日本的水果种植属于劳动密集型,需要果农付出大量的时间和精力。此外,有学者指出,在亚洲文化,尤其是日本文化中,水果有着特殊地位,“购买和消耗与社会和文化实践有关”。
