In this paper, infrared and ultraviolet visible spectra of nitrogen-doped fullerenes have been reported. It was found that the alternative doping of nitrogen atoms can activate part of the infrared quiet mode of C60 molecules. The UV-Vis spectra confirmed that after the nitrogen doping, nitrogen exists in the donor state
