青岩油杉生长在贵阳市花溪区的青岩公社歪脚大队鱼鳞阁的山头上,约有二十二市亩,现有大树二百八十四株,两公尺高左右的油杉树四百六十三株。据当地老农介绍,这片杉树约有一百多年的历史。群众习惯称油杉树为“罗松”。青岩油杉树干高大,干形通直、园满,现较高的树有十七到二十米,最大胸高直径为八十公分,一般在二十八公分左右。这片林地生长的海拔高程在一千公尺左右,北坡树株较南坡为多,西坡与青岩河相邻,树林生长也较其它坡向旺盛。土壤为黄壤,呈酸性反映,土层深厚,每公顷产材积337立方米。
