传世及新出土之南北朝隋唐碑志,数量极多,汇集这些材料的专书也已出版多种。这些碑志中,蕴藏有极其丰富的中古时期产生或盛行的词汇,其中大多并非广被关注的俗语词,而是传统意义上的词汇。但是碑志语词似乎没有受到太多的青睐。笔者在平时翻书时略有摘录,本文择取17例考释之,主要包括三个方面的词汇,一是中古新产生的新词,一是来源于上古的典故词语,一是因通假而不易释读的词。
