(一) 1953年,慈利县即开始创有群众集体办的小学4所,教师4人。现在,此类小学即发展到117所(处),学生5,581人,教师157人。教学形式除长峪铺小学因学生过少准备改为半日制外,都是采用比较正规的班级形式。根据这次调查,我们认为慈利县群众自办的小学基本上是巩固的。巩固的原因是: (一)群众迫切要求子女入学,是群众办学获得巩固的主要因素。该县在解放前仅有公立小学27所,私立小学36所,私塾152所,大部分劳苦群众的子女
(1) In 1953, Cili County began to create 4 primary schools and 4 teachers. At present, such elementary schools have grown to 117 places, with 5,581 students and 157 teachers. The form of teaching is in the form of a more formal class, except for the Changshupu Primary School where students are too few to prepare for a half-day school. According to this survey, we believe that the primary schools run by the masses in Cili County are basically consolidated. The reasons for the consolidation are: (1) The masses urgently demand that their children enter school, which is the main factor in the consolidation of the masses’ school running. Before the liberation of the county, there were only 27 public elementary schools, 36 private elementary schools, 152 private schools, and most of the children of the working people.
