Asianism is a kind of Japanese social thought and movement formed in the second half of the 19th century. Its basic feature is advocating the establishment of an Asian federation headed by Japan to confront the invasion of white people from the West until the early 20th century It evolved into the “Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Circle” in Japan’s expansion into Asia. After the war, the awareness of Asianism still remains in the hearts of some Japanese. However, with the rise of China in recent years, Japan has adopted a cold-hearted attitude towards the construction of the East Asia community, or even proposed the idea of a maritime Asia-Pacific coalition contested with it. Its basic motivation is to try to keep Japan’s protagonist in the region. Its origins are as before.
