Chairman, experts, scholars and comrades: After more than a year of deliberation and organization after the spring preparatory meeting this year, the Comrades of Local History Work in the National Autonomous Regions jointly convened by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission and the Institute of Ethnology at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Chinese Local Records Guidance Group The preparatory work, especially the vigorous support of comrades in charge of the party and government in the Xinjiang Autonomous Region, and the meticulous arrangements, the arduous efforts of the local chronicles editing committee and editor-in-chief comrades of the autonomous region now opened in Urumqi, the capital of the autonomous region.
